Head Coach Amber Jones
Coach Amber Jones brings elite-level experience and real-world toughness to the mats. A 4th Degree Judo Black Belt and BJJ Brown Belt, she’s an internationally certified coach, Head Coach of the Armed Forces Judo Team, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran currently serving in the Missouri National Guard.
With 26 years of experience in Judo, BJJ, MMA, and military combatives, Amber is a World Masters medalist, 4x National Masters Champion, national podium finisher, and professional MMA winner. Her coaching blends technical precision, competition-tested skill, and high-energy training to help athletes of all levels build confidence, toughness, and winning performance.
Coach Ethan Elliott
Coach Ethan Turner is a seasoned grappler with over 8 years at J3. He holds a Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) in Judo and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Brown Belt, bringing well-rounded experience to both programs. Ethan regularly leads classes for Judo and BJJ when the head instructor is away and is USA SafeSport certified, ensuring a safe and positive environment for youth athletes.

Coach Ethan Turner is an Ikkyu-ranked Judo competitor and nationally ranked Masters athlete known for his technical precision and relentless pace. With a strong competition background, Ethan brings sharp fundamentals, effective gripping, and high-percentage throws to the mat. His coaching focuses on building solid basics, smart strategy, and confidence — helping athletes develop competition-ready judo from day one.
